Show Announcement: Zero’s Heroes Reunion Show TOMORROW

MNSKA band Zero’s Heroes are home from college, ready to reunite and rock your face off!  The show is happening Tuesday, December 28th at the Hat Trick Lounge in St. Paul, MN at 5 pm is just 5 bucks at the door.  They will be sharing the stage with IB Kids. But like the McRib, Zero’s Heroes are here for a limited time only…catch them tomorrow night!

Show Announcement: Mustard Plug at Triple Rock 7/9/10

The Michigan ska-punk veterans Mustard Plug are making their way back to the Twin Cities this Friday!  Head down to the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis, MN to see them headline with special MNSKA guests Rocksteady Breakfast and Zero’s Heroes.  The 18+ show starts at 9pm with tickets running $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

You can get tickets in advance at the Triple Rock, Red’s Savoy Pizza in Uptown Minneapolis, and Eclipse Records in St. Paul, MN.  They are also available online HERE.

Also, if you head 2 blocks down to The Nomad in-between sets, The Prizefighters and The Dropsteppers are playing a FREE 21+ show while Miss Upsetter spins some reggae vinyl.  MNSKA is taking over Cedar-Riverside!

Big show coming up on Saturday, October 17th at Eclipse Records in St. Paul, MN.  MNSka bands 2 Tone Runts, Zero’s Heroes, and Corp D will be playing along with Illinois band The Projection.  Show starts at 7pm with a $6 cover and it will be ALL AGES.  Like we announced previously, 2 Tone Runts will be featuring their brand new drummer at this show.

MNSka band 2 Tone Runts have recently acquired a new member to their ska-funk lineup: Greg Futchi.  This video is his grand introduction to the MNSka scene and to the fans of the 2 Tone Runts.   He will be the band’s new drummer and will be playing his first show with the group on Saturday, October 17th at Eclipse Records in St. Paul, MN.  Be sure to check out that show which also includes The Projection (Illinois) and MNSka bands Zero’s Heroes and Corp D.  The show is ALL AGES and starts at 7pm with a $6 cover.

Show Announcement: Prizefighters w/ The Bishops

MNSka reggae band The Prizefighters have announced a show at the Red Sea with Omaha traditional ska veterans The Bishops on Saturday June 6th.  It will be an all ages ska and reggae party starting at 5pm, featuring special guests Peewee Dread (from Dred I Dread) and MNSka band Zero’s Heroes.  Cover is only $5.

Hey there MNSka!  This weekend has three great shows in store for you all to enjoy.

Tonight, local favorites The Prizefighters take the stage along side local ska rockers Panel of Experts at the St. Paul Eagles Club.  The 18+ show is technically free, but a $5 donation is suggested.  Music starts at 8 p.m.

Sunday brings two shows to enjoy.  At 4 p.m., Zero’s Heroes take the stage at The Dinkytowner as part of a Battle of The Bands.  Cost for admission is $8.  Good luck to the Heroes in their competition!

At 5 p.m., then, local favorites 2 Tone Runts release their new CD, “On The Front Line”at The Red Sea Bar. Harcore Crayons are also playing, along with Dun Bin Had from Santa Cruz California and Chicago’s Rule 22.  Music starts at 5 p.m., so come on out and support the 2 Tone Runts!  I hear their new album is pretty hot, so pick up a copy while you’re there.

Hello MNSka-ers!  This weekend has some good shows in store.  There are two shows at Eclipse Records tonight.  At 6:30, Zero’s Heroes plays.  The cost is $4.  At 7:00, then, begins the big show of the evening.  Rocksteady Breakfast and Panel of Experts take the stage alongside rock bands Born For The Gallows and Corporate Distortion.  That show is also $4.  Four bands for four dollars is a pretty good deal, so go check it out!

Tomorrow night, Airwave Bandits take the stage at The Depot Coffeehouse.  The music starts at 10 p.m. and the cost is $4.  The Bandits are playing on the tail end of a night full of music, with a variety of musical acts taking the stage.

Hello MNSka-ers!  There are a number of exciting concerts coming up very soon that are worthy of checking out.

First off: Next Friday, February 6th, Hardcore Crayons will be playing alongside The Style Biters and The Body Politic at Eclipse Records.  Music starts at 6:30 p.m.

The next weekend is going to be a busy one.  As a prelude to the big “Two-Tone Weekend,” on Thursday, February 12th, Zero’s Heroes will be live at Eclipse Records with 330′s and more bands yet to be announced.  Music that night starts at 7 p.m.

Friday gives us a great show at the Triple Rock as New York Third Wave pioneers The Toasters return to Minnesota.  Opening are MNSka legends Umbrella Bed and The Prizefighters.  Tickets are $10 and the music gets going at 9 p.m.  The show is 18+.

Saturday, Valentine’s Day, has another great show in store at the Triple Rock.  Local Hip-Hop pioneers The Blend will be headlining as part of their “Two-Tone Tour,” and MNSka bands 2 Tone Runts and Airwave Bandits will also take the stage.  The show starts at 5 p.m. and it’s all ages.  Price is yet to be announced.

This weekend is packed with MNSka shows.  Tonight, Airwave Bandits perform alongside local Hip-Hop powerhouse The Blend at The Depot.  The cost for the show is $4, and music starts at 9p.m.

Also tonight, Duluth ska-punkers Mikey Talented share the stage with fellow Duluth ska-rockers Coal Car Caboose at The Boathouse in Ely.  Music is at 9, and there’s no cover–so if you’re in the Twin Ports area, check it out.

And finally, The Hat Trick Lounge hosts the Skaliticians and Zero’s Heroes tomorrow night from 4-7 p.m. as part of the Eric Shaw’s Saturday All Ages Showcase.
