I’m Matt, host of the Overproof Radio podcast, and I’m thrilled to be the newest member of the MNSKA.com team. I played in my first ska-punk band in about 1996 — and first bookmarked MNSKA.com when it was a list of band names on, like, a Geocities page — and while I have pretty much retired the trumpet, I’ve been in love with Jamaican music ever since. You’ll find that love reflected in each Overproof Radio episode; I try to capture anything and everything that catches my ear — reggae, rocksteady, dub, traditional ska, roots, dancehall, ska-punk and more are all fair game.
