Skacore legends Mustard Plug and partyboys Bomb The Music Industry! have released a 7″ split as a part of the Under The Influence series.  According to Vinyl Collective:

The series finds bands we love recording songs that have influenced their song writing. Mustard Plug tours in NEW Van

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Stand By Your Van

Stand By Your Van

According to their recent myspace blog, Mustard Plug has bought a new tour van!  The motorcity ska crew has had some unfortunate bad luck with their previous tour vehicle and have left it for dead in South Carolina while they were on the recent Less Than Jake tour.  They made it back to their home state of Michigan safe and sound in a rental car and U-Haul truck.

According to guitarist Colin Clive “We found this new van in Tennessee. Rick (Johnson, bass player) flew down there today and picked it up and drove it all the way home. What a trooper!! Thanks Rick! Now it’s parked in front of my house. It looks nice, drives nice and has huge balloon tires. Looks like we’re ready to hit the road again!!”

Mustard Plug will indeed hit the road, stopping in Minneapolis on Saturday, September 13th, where they will headline the Triple Rock with Deal’s Gone Bad and MNSka’s own Small Kitchen Appliances.  You can chat with the guys and check out their new set of wheels!

Mustard Plug released In Black and White in September 2007 on Hopeless Records.

Does anyone in the MNSka scene have a line on a van or a trailer?
