Less Than Jake to perform entire “Losing Streak” at Riot Fest 2010

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

Yet another reason to head down to Chicago for Riot Fest October 6th – 10th.  Gainesville, FL ska-punk veterans Less Than Jake have announced that they will perform their 1996 revered album Losing Streak in its entirety at Riot Fest.  The album was the band’s third and their first on Capitol Records.  On a personal note, this album is second only to Hello Rockview in my opinion of their discography.

As if you needed more ska-related reasons to go to Riot Fest, Club Moonstomp will be happening on Sunday, October 10th featuring Roy Ellis (Symarip), Mr. T-Bone, Eastern Standard Time,  and Green Room Rockers, as we reported earlier.

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Dear friend of MNSKA, Chuck Wren of Jump Up Records, has combined all of the ska/reggae of Riot Fest into one night!  Behold Club Moonstomp featuring the one and only Roy Ellis of Symarip and Italian import Mr. T-Bone!  Rounding out the bill is DC ska collective Eastern Standard Time and Indiana’s own Green Room RockersTriton Soundsystem from Mexico City will be spinning the reggae as well as Chuck himself.  It’s all happening on Sunday, October 10th at the Subterranean in Chicago.  The party starts at 8pm and is an 18+ event.  I know of several of the MNSKA faithful who are gassing up the van and road-tripping to Riot Fest so head to the FORUM and see if you can hitch a ride!
