Bomb The Music Industry!: Others! Others! Volume 1

Sunday, May 3rd, 2009

The crazy ska/electronic collective known as Bomb The Music Industry! have announced they will be releasing an album of rarities that were previously unavailable for download.  BTMI! mastermind Jeff Rosentstock had this to say:

It seems to make sense as we have a bunch of 7″s and shit planned for the next year. These are tracks that have been tossed aside ’cause 7″s and compilations didn’t come out ever/yet, demos that ended up quite different from the originals but may not have been heard, some shit that’s just kinda hard to find, the first ever live studio recording and in one case, sweet introduction music that never hit the enormous PA that it was meant to. Yeah that’s not a sentence. Also there are a buncha covers.

The album, titled Others! Others! Volume 1 will be available for FREE download starting May 7th at the Quote Unquote Records site.  Not sure if the album title and album art are inspired by ABC’s LOST, but it would be cool if it were.

You can check out the tracklisting after the jump.

Monday, November 10th, 2008

Skacore legends Mustard Plug and partyboys Bomb The Music Industry! have released a 7″ split as a part of the Under The Influence series.  According to Vinyl Collective:

The series finds bands we love recording songs that have influenced their song writing. For this third release, Mustard Plug are covering “Waiting Room” by Fugazi and Bomb the Music Industry! are covering “Gold Soundz” by Pavement. The 7″s will come with a coupon that will allow you to download the tracks as mp3s. The 7″ will be pressed as an edition of 1,000 copies (300 on translucent light blue vinyl, 700 on Clear w/ Neon Green and Pink Splatter vinyl).
